Dr. Douglas Baum is an Orange County orthodontist who has been creating beautiful smiles for over 10 years. Dr. Baum received his undergraduate degree from Wabash University. He then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Baum was commissioned in the US Navy Dental Corps, where he served as a department head of operative dentistry at Fleet Marine Force-Camp Pendleton. While there, he was awarded a Navy Achievement medal for outstanding military service. After practicing dentistry for five years, Dr. Baum decided he wanted to specialize in orthodontics. He returned to his dental training roots and attended Indiana School of Dentistry to obtain his orthodontic specialty training and a Master of Science degree in dentistry.

On a personal note, Dr. Baum is married to his beautiful wife, Melissa, a dental hygienist in the local community. His daughter Payton lights up his life. When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Baum is playing in multiple softball leagues, sailing the seas, cheering for the Ducks, and enjoying pizza (all types) and coffee.
